  1. IT Spending Projected to Increase in 2013 By Don Reisinger     |  Posted 01-15-2013

Those who believed 2012 was a big year for the IT sector haven’t seen anything yet, according to research firm Gartner. It recently forecasted that total IT spending will be up 4.2 percent this year, and is actually rising faster than anticipated. Gartner managing vice president Richard Gordon said in a statement that while “uncertainties” remain across the IT sector, much of it “is nearing resolution, and as it does, we look for accelerated spending growth in 2013 compared to 2012.” The largest increases in IT spending are expected to include enterprise software, devices and IT services.  http://www.cioinsight.com/it-management/it-budgets/slideshows/it-spending-projected-to-increase-in-2013/?kc=EWWHNEMNL01172013STR3
